Little Hay Junior Team win Herts Junior Champion Club 2021!

A FANTASTIC update from Patrick and Annemarie Ashton - Little Hay Junior Organisers

Remember the date: Sunday July 11th 2021 - England lost in the final of the UEFA Euro 2020.

Well just a few hours earlier our Little Hay junior team did just the opposite - our team won the Hertfordshire Junior Champion Club 2021.

I have often heard Lee Jordan say "We don't have many juniors, but the ones we do have are good!". 

When all the talk of the day was about the football,  at Chesfield Downs Golf club our juniors flew under the radar and claimed the cup.

First to post our team score was junior captain Thomas, with a steady 34 points. Thomas and I headed home knowing that Noah had had a great front nine.

Then along came Sapphire to post an exceptional 42 points. An excellent score and best individual score of the competition.

Noah was in the final group and posted a great 30 points to seal the win for Little Hay juniors. I have never been so proud of our juniors.

We have now qualified to represent Hertfordshire in the national Junior Champion club finals, to be played at Woodhall Spa,  23-25th August.

Well done to them all. Thanks to the parents as well for all their support for our juniors.
